پچھلی قسط میں عربوں کے معاشی اور معاشرتی حالات بیان کیے گئے.
اس قسط میں مختصرا" اس دور کے سیاسی حالات بیان کیے جارھے ھیں..

ظہور اسلام سے پہلے عرب قبائلی نظام میں تقسیم تھے اور سرزمین عرب کے ریگستانوں میں دانہ ھاۓ تسبیح کی طرح بکھرے ھوۓ تھے.
قبائل کا سیاسی نظام نیم جمہوری تھا.
قبیلہ کا ایک سردار مقرر ھوتا جس کی شجاعت , قابلیت اور فہم و فراست کے علاوہ سابقہ سردار سے قرابت داری کا بھی لحاظ رکھا جاتا.
تمام لوگ اپنے سردار کی اطاعت کرتے تاھم سردار قبیلہ کے بااثر لوگوں سے صلاح مشورہ بھی کرلیتا.

عرب قوم کیونکہ اکھڑ مزاج قوم تھی تو بعض اوقات کسی معمولی سی بات پر اگر دو مختلف قبیلے کے افراد میں جھگڑا ھوجاتا تو اسے پورے قبیلے کی انا کا مسلہ بنا لیا جاتا اور پھر مخالف قبیلے کے خلاف اعلان جنگ کردیا جاتا.
بسا اوقات یہ جنگیں مدتوں جاری رھتیں.
مثلا" بنو تغلب اور بنو بکر میں بسوس نامی ایک اونٹنی کو مار ڈالنے پر جنگ کا آغاز ھوا اور یہ جنگ پھر چالیس برس جاری رھی.

جب ھم جزیرہ نما عرب کے اطراف پر نظر ڈالتے ھیں تو ایک طرف روم کی عظیم بازنطینی سلطنت اور دوسری طرف ایران کی عظیم ساسانی سلطنت نظر آتی ھیں.
جزیرہ نما عرب کو ایک لحاظ سے ان دو عظیم ھمسایہ حکومتوں کے درمیان ایک
"بفر سٹیٹ" کا درجہ حاصل تھا.

اھل عرب ان دو ھمسایہ سلطنتوں کو
" اسدین غالب"
(دو طاقتور غالب شیر) کہا کرتے تھے.
اس وقت یہ دنیا کی دو سب سے طاقتور ترین اقوام تھیں جو کئی صدیوں سے آپس میں برسر پیکار تھیں.
کبھی رومی ایرانیوں کو پامال کرتے ھوۓ شکست فاش سے دوچار کردیتے اور کبھی میدان جنگ میں ایرانیوں کی فتح کے طبل بجتے.

روم کی بازنطینی سلطنت کا حکمران "قیصر" کے لقب سے حکومت کرتا جبکہ ایران کی ساسانی سلطنت کا حکمران "کسری' " کہلاتے.
آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے دور میں روم پر قیصر "ھرقل" کی حکومت تھی جبکہ ایران پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بچپن میں مشھور ایرانی بادشاہ "نوشیرواں" کی حکومت تھی جبکہ اس کے بعد "خسرو پرویز" ایران کا شہنشاہ بنا جس نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے تبلیغی خط کو پھاڑنے کی گستاخی کی تھی.

یہاں میں عربوں کی تاریخ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ولادت مبارکہ کے وقت سرزمین عرب کے عمومی حالات کا سلسلہ تمام کرتا ھوں.
ان شاء اللہ اگلی قسط سے سیرت نبوی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا باقاعدہ آغاز ھوگا.
